IGO Limited making a difference for WA’s sick kids and their families.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA) is pleased to continue an ongoing partnership with IGO Limited for Up All Night 2022.
Launched in 2018 by RMHC WA, Up All Night is the only fundraising event of its kind in Australia. Each year, over 1,000 enthusiastic Western Australians embark on a 42km overnight walking marathon in Perth.
The continued success of this fundraising event for RMHC WA has been made possible by Presenting Partner, IGO Limited.
Every step taken as part of Up All Night is a ‘walk in their shoes’, offering participants the impactful experience of what it is like to be up all night with a sick or injured child.
In 2021, the signature fundraising event raised a record $1.5 million for RMHC WA, helping to support the crucial services and programs provided to Western Australian families who need to be in Perth for medical treatment
As a long-term supporter of WA’s home away from home, IGO Limited has a direct impact on keeping WA families with sick or injured children close together during difficult times.
CEO, RMHC WA, Peter King says:
“Our partnership with IGO Limited is grounded in a shared understanding of the challenges for regional families far from home.
IGO Limited is helping to ensure our services and programs continue to provide crucial family-centred care.”
Managing Director and CEO, IGO, Peter Bradford says:
“IGO Limited is passionate about making a difference in our host communities by supporting organisations such as RMHC WA. Being a Presenting Partner of Up All Night allows our employees to give back to the community through the important work of RMHC WA and support regional families with sick or injured kids when they need it most.”
Mr. Bradford has personally taken part in Up All Night since it began in 2018 and says a highlight for him, is the pit stop at Ronald McDonald House Nedlands.
“Doing the walk is one small thing I can do to support the families at the House who are doing it tough every night. Walking through the House and seeing the support of the families we are helping makes the long walk worth it.
IGO is really proud to be making a difference to the lives of the children and their families through events like Up All Night.”
The partnership between IGO Limited and RMHC WA will ensure resilient Western Australian families with sick or injured children stay connected to the medical care they require.
