Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Australia are proud to celebrate the impactful partnership with long-term partner Hyundai Help for Kids.
In March 2025, RMHC Australia and Hyundai Help for Kids launched the Wheels from the Heart campaign at Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney, unveiling a refreshed look for our much-loved fleet of Hyundai vehicles.
Stories to Drive Hope
A special highlight of the event was the introduction of meaningful names for each car, transforming them from “charity cars” into household names that feel like part of the RMHC family.
RMHC Australia’s CEO, Barbara Ryan, revealed the first two names:
- Audrey, named in honour of Dr Audrey Evans, the pioneering paediatric oncologist who co-founded RMHC.
- Lightning Jack, named after Jack Cassis, a passionate supporter and founding member of Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney.
Bill Thomas, General Manager PR, Sponsorship & Events at Hyundai Motor Company Australia, reflected on the incredible impact of our partnership to date with more than $3.8 million in support, equivalent to 24,000 nights of accommodation for families in need. He also proudly announced the extension of our partnership for another three years.

A Partnership That Makes Everyday Life Easier
For over 11 years, Hyundai vehicles have been at the heart of RMHC across Australia’s support network. The Wheels from the Heart fleet, now 16 strong, helps families with children who are ill or injured by easing the everyday challenges of transport.
From hospital appointments to family outings, these vehicles provide comfort, connection, and a sense of normalcy during difficult times. By giving each vehicle a name, we’re recognising the important role they play as part of our RMHC family, and the families we serve.
Together with Hyundai Help for Kids, we’re proud to keep driving hope, from the heart.
