Ronald McDonald Family Room Nepean

Nepean Hospital

Spending long hours in an uncomfortable waiting room can add unnecessary stress to an already emotional time for families with seriously ill children. Our Ronald McDonald Family Room Nepean offers a warm and inviting space to help get away from it all, even if just for a little while.

The Family Room is located within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Nepean Hospital, Kingswood, NSW, and run as part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney Chapter.

Managed by a team of caring and dedicated volunteers, the Room provides a free and important place of respite for families caring for and visiting seriously ill children at the Hospital.

Families are welcome to stop by the Family Room any time of day, each and every day of the year, at no cost.

Whether its somewhere for the kids to play, or a sanctuary for mum and dad, our Family Room is for the whole family. The Room consists of a kitchen, lounge and dining area, play area, a mother’s room and a quiet room. Here, families can take a break, have a cuppa, or heat up a meal in the Room’s warm, homely environment 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
