The Ronald McDonald House Randwick Chapter operates the following programs:

OUR HISTORY

Since opening in 1991, Ronald McDonald House Randwick has provided a ‘home away from home’ for 32 families a night, every night. We also provide all the facilities that you would have at home, so you can travel light.

But our House provides more than just the practical necessities of life. When families have to travel far from home to receive medical care for their sick child, finding affordable accommodation in an unfamiliar city only adds to their stress and anxiety. So when families’ lives have been turned upside down, we offer a warm, welcoming place to stay that is supportive and understanding. We try to offer a little bit of ‘normal’ when life is disrupted and confusing.

The role of our caring staff and volunteers is to lighten the families’ load and to ensure that they are offered the help and support they need to be able to focus on what really matters – their family.

OUR BOARD

LOUISE LANCASTER - CHAIR
CAROLYN TOWNSEND - VICE CHAIR
Carolyn began as a Volunteer at RMH Randwick and joined the Board in 2003. Carolyn also sits on the National Board of Directors, RMHC Australia.
BEN HOLDEN - TREASURER
Ben and his partner become McDonald's Owner/Operators in 2008 and currently owns eight McDonald's restaurants in the Eastern Suburbs and CBD.
JACK KASSES - OAM
As the father of a child who survived Leukemia, Jack Kasses joined the Board in 2002 and has served as Treasurer and Vice President.
BRONWYN BROWN – OAM
Bronwyn started with RMHC as a member of the NSW Fundraising Ball Committee. She then became a Volunteer and Board Member at RMH Randwick.
RICHARD WOODBURN
Richard was previously Operations Director and Deputy Chair of Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children. He has served on the Board since 2007.
CAMERON NEWLANDS
Cameron is currently the field-services manager for NSW and ACT joined the RMH Randwick board in 2015.
JANE JENNINGS
Jane works as Senior Executive Support Officer at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. She is also a representative for the RMHC Learning Program.
CATHY LOVELL
Cathy joined the Board in 2012. Cathy is currently the Clinical Program Director for Medical and Diagnostics at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

Show Your Support And Help Us Make A Real Difference

Support from individuals, community groups, corporates and businesses are essential to continuing our mission and help us keep our doors open every day of the year. Our House is a vital support service for so many families in need, offering warmth and inspiration and allowing friendships to be formed as families share a similarly challenging journey.

There are numerous ways you can become involved from creating your own fundraising event, choosing RMH Randwick as your charity of choice for peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives, adopting a room, donating goods-in-kind to assist with the general operations at the House and the comfort of our families or you can choose to contribute of our regular giving program.

We also have corporate volunteering opportunities including our Make A Meal and Working Bee programs.
