Our Impact

A year in review, thanks to you.

In 2023, your support helped keep families together – 64,178 families to be precise. This is an extraordinary effort that wouldn’t be possible without your support. Your generous donations help make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of families with ill or injured children. So we thank you, and so do the thousands of people you’ve helped.

Thank You.

A quarter century of education support.

In 2023, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of our Learning Program – a world-first Australian initiative. There are now 1,200 children in our Learning Program on any given week, and each year this Program prevents 45 children from repeating a year at school and 41 from dropping out of school, due to the impact of an illness or injury.

Your generosity has left an imprint on the lives of ill or injured children and their families across Australia, over generations. It will continue to do so for many more to come. This is the real impact of your support.

Keeping families close is everything. But it’s just the start.

Families of ill or injured children are grappling with more than many of us can imagine. Keeping them close is the most important step in helping them cope through the stress, trauma and financial strain of caring for an ill or injured child. Many parents have to stop working. These factors can impact the rest of their lives.

Every Program we offer, thanks to your support, helps families cope better. The value of your donation goes beyond what you put in. It also lessens the strain on hospitals, schools and workplaces, leading to stronger communities, stronger health and education systems, and a stronger economy.

So, thank you for your support in 2023, and thank you for your support in the years to come.

Make a Difference for Families & Children

Parents don’t know when their child will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can strive to support them all throughout their journey.
