Visiting the Family Room
Take a break from the ward and be together as a family at the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is a refuge for you and your family while visiting or staying with a child in hospital. Step away from the ward and into our inviting Family Room where there’s a kitchenette with complimentary light refreshments, bathroom facilities and a comfortable lounge with high chairs and tables.
Our Team
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Eligibility
We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the Hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room was purpose built for the free and exclusive use of parents, carers, guardians and their families with children undergoing treatment at Wagga Wagga base Hospital.
Fees
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are free of charge. Thanks to generous donations, families have a space away from the wards to recoup and simply be together.

Volunteering
You can also get involved directly by becoming a volunteer.
A rewarding and enriching experience, as a volunteer, you will witness the amazing difference you can make first-hand by assisting with day-to-day tasks, helping to run activities, or even something as simple as offering a welcoming smile and a listening ear to a family member in need.
Host a fundraiser
What could be more fulfilling than bringing people together to transform the lives of the families who need our help?
Fundraising is an easy, meaningful and fun way to raise money. From sausage sizzles and trivia nights, to raising money on personal celebration days in lieu of gifts, you can give the gift of togetherness to families with seriously ill children.
Sponsor a room
Our individual and corporate Room Sponsors provide vital financial support, allowing us to offer families warm beds, hot showers, toys and games for kids, and all the essentials of a real family home. As a Sponsor, it’s your generosity that keeps our doors open. Each year, we attach a plaque to the door of your room, in recognition of your support.
